Third Day

Two years ago I went with K to my first Third Day concert. I was pregnant, queasy, and miserable, but I was also hooked! I couldn't wait to see them again. They came back to our city earlier this month as a part of the Wherever You Are Tour. I ordered our tickets within minutes of them going on sale. Good seats too. Not on the floor, though. I'm only 5'1" and floor seats would mean that I would have a terrific view of big heads. My brother, Cabbagehead, suggested seats straight in front of the stage but in the first set of risers off the floor. Yardboy and I took Cabbagehead to the show for his 25th birthday. My friend K and her husband went too, but they bought their own tickets. Just as Cabbagehead said, the seats were perfect. We were right behind the sound booth, so the we were in the best location for quality sound. The concert was wonderful! We even enjoyed the opening acts, Hyper Static Union and the David Crowder Band . My name is Fuzzball Gomer .

Crazy Busy

I'm still here. Things are going fine, just crazy busy. Last weekend we went to a Third Day concert (more about that later). Then we went to my baby brother's 25th birthday party. Today we are off to Georgia for a wedding. I am looking forward to seeing lots of childhood friends there. Next week we will be camping at my parent's house for Thanksgiving. Yardboy and I are really excited and so is Tater. This is her first camping trip. This will be pretty primitive camping, complete with a latrine! Woo hoo. We are going to have Thanksgiving dinner out in the woods. I'm not sure how many people will be there, but I know it will be a bunch. My good friend W and her family are coming. I think it will be so much fun. Should we wear Pilgrim hats?

I Dare You to Move

We sang this song in Worship today. I first heard it when I was pregnant with Little Man and it meant so much to me then. Today, I am taking it as a challenge. I Dare You to Move by Switchfoot Welcome to the planet Welcome to existence Everyone's here Everyone's here Everybody's watching you now Everybody waits for you now What happens next? What happens next? I dare you to move I dare you to move I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor I dare you to move I dare you to move Like today never happened Today never happened before Welcome to the fallout Welcome to resistance The tension is here The tension is here Between who you are and who you could be Between how it is and how it should be I dare you to move I dare you to move I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor I dare you to move I dare you to move Like today never happened Today never happened Maybe redemption has stories to tell Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell Where can you run to escape from yours

Interactive Blog

I got the idea for an interactive blog from fellow blogger, Cheri . The questions are extremely easy. Butter or Margerine? Sweet Tea or Unsweet Tea? White or Whole Wheat? Veggies or Meat? Here are my answers: butter or flax oil, sweet tea (sometimes with Splenda), whole wheat, veggies and meat. I know. It is kind of lame, but humor me. I want to know who reads. If you read, please answer. That means you too, Yardboy.

Healthier

After the kids go to bed Yardboy and I will drink creamy sweet decaf coffee and eat the leftover candy corn cake I made for Halloween. Yummy. Yardboy and I love coffee any time of day. I devised a plan this evening to deal with overindulgence of coffee and the cream and sugar necessary to drink the stuff. I am taking my free coffee maker out of the kitchen and placing it in the garage. No maker, no coffee. Right? We are going to switch to tea, which we also love. We don't need loads of cream and sugar to enjoy tea. We can even stick our pinky fingers out and feel extra snooty. Tomorrow we get serious about eating healthy . We are usually very good, at least compared to the average American. However, we have been slipping lately. Wish me luck. I may have to stop by Starbucks for a fix.
