I'm sure I'll blog about Baby B's birth when I have a little more free time. For now, I'll just say that the delivery was very easy and my baby girl is healthy. Thank you Lord!

What a beautiful family!!! You can tell how much Baby B's siblings love her. I loved seeing you and meeting Baby B this weekend.
As a new homeschooler , the choices regarding curriculum are overwhelming. I need advice. We are currently doing preschool level work, but next year we will be doing kindergarten stuff. What have you guys used? Did you like it? Why? Why not? I would also love to hear from those of you who are trained school teachers. That's you, Crickey . :) What do I need to look for when evaluating materials?
These are the cakes I made for our Celebrate Recovery New Year's Eve Party. I couldn't find my camera, so I took these pics with my phone. This one was a butter cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate buttercream frosting. Mmmmm . Butter is goooood . This one is chocolate with chocolate ganache filling. I had to cover it with vanilla buttercream because it was so chocolaty ! The friends, food, music, and dancing were great. We had a blast ringing in the new year!
Everyone knows this part of the Serenity Prayer. Here is the entire prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr: * God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as the pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen. * As you can see, I couldn't resist the Seinfeld reference. :) *
