SERENITY NOW!

Everyone knows this part of the Serenity Prayer.
Here is the entire prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr:
*
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did,
this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.

As you can see, I couldn't resist the Seinfeld reference. :)

I love it in it's entirety! It's so much more powerful, but the short version sure does the trick. My "boyfriend" J wrote a song based on it.

I was in a Christian recovery group that said this full prayer at the end. Thanks for including it.

My wife & I also homeschool (actually, mostly my wife). May God bless you as you invest so much of yourself in your children.

Hey, Curly Mommy, I thought I would respond to your comment on my blog here -

I loved what you said about my tech support crew. Yep, it is scary - second tech support crew is scheduled to arrive about midnight tonight.

tr,

How ironic! I visited your site today, but didn't have time to comment.

I still can't get to your blog by clicking on tr. Try again. :)
